About the foundation

The foundation SAVE UKRAINE e. V.“ was founded by internationally committed people for humanitarian aid and general support of Ukraine and Ukrainian people.

The purpose of the association is to provide all necessary assistance to the civilian population and the territorial communities of Ukraine.

We coordinate the purchase of goods from Europe and other countries of the world and organize the transport. Through close cooperation with the European Union, as well as the Ukrainian representative offices and authorities, we can implement these processes directly, quickly and extensively.

The Association is a non-profit and non-governmental organization dedicated solely to supporting the Ukrainian civilian population.

How we support:

We buy and collect relief supplies that are particularly important in Ukraine and can save lives. Among other things, the following is required: canned goods, bread, pasta, rice, drinks, baby food, dog and cat food, a number of hygiene items, vacuum flasks, camping stoves, generators, batteries, drones, thermal blankets, sleeping mats, sleeping bags, army tents, army dry rations, first aid Sets, Sacks, Knee Pads, Elbow Pads, Tactical Goggles, Binoculars, Radios, Flashlights, Power Banks, Army Backpacks, Camouflage Nets, Headlamps, Military Uniform, Combat Boots or Tactical Footwear, Thermal Underwear, T-Shirts, Socks (Cotton - not less than 80%), Tactical Gloves, balaclavas, burn plasters, tourniquets, bandages, means for surgical hemostasis (plasters, bandages), surgical instruments, syringes, infusion systems, venous catheters (of any kind), disinfection, alcohol swabs, rubber gloves, NaCl etc.

We organise, coordinate and personally bring relief supplies from North-Rhine-Westfalia to Ukraine. We ensure that the humanitarian aid reaches the right institutions and people.

We help to find free accommodation for the arriving refugees. We also look for apartments for long-term rent and help with renting.

We help Ukrainian refugees on site with advice on official visits, visits to the doctor and support them as interpreters.

We opened a telegram group for the help of Ukrainian refugees for the city of Essen, which already had 2050 members on May 26th, 2022. About 90% of the group members are Ukrainian refugees. In the group we advise on all kinds of topics.

Ukraine needs your help!

The war has already forced almost a quarter of the Ukrainian population to leave their homeland unintentionally. A network of humanitarian aid centers dealing with the reception and safety of refugees from combat zones is distributed throughout Ukraine and neighboring countries.

Our association cooperates with these volunteer and government humanitarian centers that are in dire need of regular supplies of food, medicine, basic necessities, temporary housing, mobile power generators and much more.
